Lego City Airport
For those with kids who love building new creations, the Lego City Airport set could be the perfect Christmas gift for 2010. Named by the Toy Retailers Association as one of the “Dream 12”, this really is an impressive Lego set!
What Is The Lego City Airport?
Lego City Airport is part of the wider Lego range of kits designed to help kids put together their own airport terminals, and various aircraft, within Lego City. It’s designed to have all of the key features of a real-life airport, which makes for great imaginative play once the initial Lego building is over.
This set in particular includes the terminal, with a number of detailed features such as: * Revolving terminal doors, * X-Ray machine at the security checkpoint, * Check-in ticket desks, * Cafe and lounge for passengers to use before they board their flight.

But what airport would be complete without an aeroplane to whisk passengers away on their travels? This kit includes a jet, complete with passengers, crew, a baggage cart – and even a control tower!
In total there is one passenger, a pilot, a flight attendant, a steward and a service man. The set itself is huge and comes with 700+ pieces! If you want to buy the Lego City Airport, you can get it through this link at Amazon
This kit is recommended for children aged 6 or older, due to the complexity of putting it all together, following the instructions and the small parts. Lego is a fantastic way to develop a number of skills, as your child logically understands how the different shaped items fit together, and then gets the reward of seeing all of their effort pay off.
If your child fits the right age range and is already a Lego fan, then this is one of the more impressive kits to add to their collection.
The Lego City range is gradually expanding to include more and more elements that make up a real life city. If your child already has items from this range, then they’ll be excited at the prospect of expanding their city!
The main drawback of Lego City Airport is that it doesn’t come cheap. With a recommended retail price of around $99, it’s certainly one of the more costly Lego gifts for Christmas 2010. However, this price does make sense considering just how much you’ll get within the set. As a main present for your child, it’ll be worth it for many hours of play!

Here’s what current owners have to say about Lego city Airport
By Zain Isma Lazim
My son (a 3rd grader) took the Lego set straight into his room as soon as it arrived. About 2-3 hours later he finished building it. He just asked me for some small assistance in prying some lego pieces apart because he attached it to a different piece.
